July was a whirlwind! Somehow I missed a blog post in there, but it was to be expected.
We had our second WWOOFER of the season with us for the month of July. Her name is Emmy and it was a real pleasure sharing space with her and having her around to do more than just be here on the farm, but be in our lives. She helped me endlessly weed the garden, harvest for our wholesale orders and having her here kept me on task. I did most of the farm work with Emmy while Bob was working on other homestead projects or for the last couple of weeks, heading to a cabin to finish the final edits on Just Like A Soldier. I have harvested more herbs this year than ever in my life for my new and growing product line “Late Bloomers”. Some days didn’t feel like work as Emmy and I walked around the property picking flowers and herbs while she listened to me ramble while the girls frantically grabbed at her legs for all her attention.
Speaking of expectations, we are indeed having TWINS if you haven’t heard by now. They are di/di twins, meaning they have their own placenta and their own sac which is exactly what I was hoping for! We wont find out if they are identical or fraternal until after birth because we do not want to know the gender, and sometimes that can spoil the surprise!
We are slightly freaking out as we are slowly realizing the reality of going from a family of 4 to 6 like…THAT. So much change is happening and we have so much to figure out, but I am still on the NINEst of clouds. I really couldn’t be more OVERJOYED and grateful. Why do I feel like I am being blessed beyond deserving? Just have to shout, “Thank You God!” I have included my baby registry after the pictures on this blog and am so appreciative for all the support, encouragement, excitement and joy that comes our way.
