My Sh*t’s F*cked Up

I never thought I would write a self-help book, but here we are.

After the mysterious death of an old Army friend, I became determined to do something about the pandemic of suicide, addiction, and isolation.

As a writer, it only seemed appropriate to use my greatest skill, the written word.

I made a list of fifty subjects that were vital for my transformation from a guilt-ridden, alcoholic madman on the brink of suicide at the age of twenty-two to a twelve-year sober father and husband with a relatively peaceful life.

I wrote a single page on each subject to keep the reader moving forward and to make the change seem less daunting.

Ten personal stories were interwoven within the fifty subjects, providing a glimpse into my own challenging past and present.

The title is based on the Warren Zevon song by the same title, which describes a man going to the doctor who tells him that his entire being needs repair.

My Sh*t’s F*cked Up is small, non-intimidating, and readable within a few hours. It will also be affordable due to its size.

After months of going back and forth with the editor, designer, and interior format guru- the book is so close to being done I can taste it.

The Ebook should be finished by the end of next week. It will be sent to readers for blurbs and advanced reviews, which will be published in the book.

I hope to begin recording the audiobook in September.

If all goes as planned, the book should be released in November or December, just in time for Christmas.

I am very excited and proud of this book, and I hope it makes a positive impact in at least one person’s life.
