Farm Fresh Experiences

Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to join us, you will not regret it! We are a couple ragamuffin wanderers who have planted our roots in Happy Valley, Alaska. Where we hope to “retire” in the next few years by pursuing our own passions and living our own lives instead of the dreams set forth by society.

We are a family of four living off-grid in Alaska. We grow food, write stories, make jewelry, harvest herbs, and live a sober life.

  1. Happy New Year, Happy Valley Farmers! Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Congratulations on the expanding family! That is exciting!

We have finally applied for a USDA grant for a high tunnel, we got a wood splitter, and a friend has offered to sell us an outdoor wood boiler/furnace that might just be ideal for the planned high tunnel. We are looking forward to spring and another season of growing food.

Wishing you all the best for a prosperous, safe, happy and healthy new year!

    1. Hello Janine & Steve-
Congratulations on applying for the high tunnel, having one is certainly a game changer! A wood splitter must be nice! We still split by hand, but may need to pick up one sometime in the next few years.
Happy New Year to you two as well. We are also counting down the days to spring, in the meantime, we are crop planning and discussing where each person’s passions lie this season. It’s very exciting!!!

Best wishes and best new year!
